My Story
Hi, I’m Pam Baker, mom of four young adults, serial multitasker, lifelong problem-solver, and a woman whose life has been shaped by both extraordinary love and extraordinary loss. In 2021, my husband Jon was diagnosed with glioblastoma, and our world shifted overnight. Losing him was devastating, and the months that followed taught me something I never expected: widowhood is heartbreakingly isolating, even when you’re surrounded by people who care. I found myself searching for connection, for women who understood the messy middle between grief and rebuilding, for a space where laughter was still allowed.
When I couldn’t find it, I created it.
What began as a simple invitation, “Hey, want to get a drink?” soon became Widows Who Wine™, a community built on honesty, heart, and a smidge of liquid courage. What started around my kitchen table has grown into a movement of widows supporting widows, celebrating small victories, sharing hard truths, and rediscovering joy together. My mission is simple, to make sure no widow walks this path alone.
I’m grateful you’re here. Whether you’re a widow or a supporter, welcome.
Purpose After Pain Is Possible.
I envision a world where widows rise in sisterhood, toast to what was, and courageously create what’s next through joy, passion, and unapologetic purpose.
Through vibrant gatherings, deep connection, and a healthy dose of fun, my mission is rooted in helping you move from surviving — to thriving.
